Why does one eye look big when wearing glasses?

I have astigmatism and +.75 and +1.00 farsightedness. Why does one eye look bigger? Is there anything that can be done to the lenses so that the eye doesn't look magnified? Why does one eye look big when wearing glasses?
Aspheric lenses can help with differences in appearance due to different strengths and to reduce the magnifying effect. Ask your optometrist. Why does one eye look big when wearing glasses?
You don't need high index lenses. Aspheric lenses are flatter but not thinner, in Australia where I practice they are around $15 extra Report Abuse

it is because you probably have two different perscription lenses. one of them needs to be stronger and one needs to be weaker that is just how your eyes are.

the only ways to not have one lens less thick is to either wear contacts or have lasik eye surgery.
