What tools would I need for a smokey eye look?

Brushes from sephora in particular. There's too much to choose from %26amp; I don't know what works well. %26amp; any smokey eye eye shadows (in black/brown) that you'd reccomend? Like a palette or single shadow that'll last all day. What tools would I need for a smokey eye look?
Use a blending and an eyeshadow brush, you can find that at sephora.

Also, use a monochrome palette. Palettes are easier for stuff like this. Lise Waiter Quads in Les Basiques is a good smokey eye palette.

Use an angled brush to put on the eyeshadow on your lower lid, and to put eyeliner on.

Then top it off with black eyeliner and mascara.

this video should help:

as for brushes, u just want a small shadow brush and a medium shadow brush and an angle brush if ur not good at making straight lines or u want to make the color bolder for the liner. i personally like the stila purrfect eyes palette for the basic smokey eye and in the colors u want...it comes with a liquid liner and an angled brush at sephora...so all u need is a small shadow brush and a medium shadow brush...for day smokey looks, u want to use pencil liner or to use ur angle brush in the black for liner...for night, use the liquid liner...i find that lancome shadows work well on staying in place too plus they are easily blend-able and smooth.
I love this thing I got like a month ago..

Thats a really good pallet I have it and I use it a lot it has 3 different smokey looks, brushes and cards that show you the different looks and how to do them
To last all day you will likely need an eye primer. I use urban decay's primer potion. a few different coordination colors like black, dark and lighter and a gray maybe. (depending on your colors) get a lid brush and a crease brush.
