How do you get the smkey eye look?

I really want to know how to get that smokey eye look

I always try and i fail how do you get it perfect?

Thanks...How do you get the smkey eye look?
here is my smokey eye...

start with a shadow base or eye primer

black or dark grey shadow in the shape of a sideways V on the corner of the eye, working into the crease with a flat shadow brush.

lighter grey shimmer shadow over the lid with a contour shadow brush, blending into the first darker shade

silvery/champagne shimmer shadow under the brow bone and dotted on inner corners of eyes with full shadow brush

black liner all the way across top lid, slightly thicker on outer edges, and 3/4 way across bottom

sweep thin line of medium shimmer grey under lower lash line, below and slightly over black liner

curl lashes and add 2 coats of volumizing black mascara

-you can also do a smokey eye with shades of brown, purple, green... any color

stila (at sephora) has a smokey eye kit that has 4 shadows in a palette...push a tiny button and a voice speaks instructions to you. there is also a holographic image of an eye that shows where the different shades go when you turn it.

for drugstore palettes, try revlon, loreal, covergirl and maybelline. i know all of those lines carry them, but not sure of the names. avon also has a shadow quads. ';sueded nudes'; is a good one for browns, and ';smokey eyes'; is good for greys, although the greys are on the lighter side. you could also try ';fresh cut greens'; and ';vintage violets';.

good luck and have fun!!!How do you get the smkey eye look?
get some shadow that comes in at least 3 shades ranging from darkest to lightest.

1. put a layer of the lightest from your lash line to your brow.

2. put the darkest color on the lid, and a little farther over the outside corner of your eye, almost the the end of your eyebrow.

3. put the middle shade in the creace of your eye

4. and the lightest on the very top underneath the brow.

5. blend.
Start with shadow base. Press flesh toned shadow into your lids. Using a dark liner, start in the OUTER corners of your eyes and work in, getting thinner and softer as you move toward the inner corner. Then, using dark shadow and small brush, layer and smudge over the top of the existing liner, ';erasing'; out any definite line. Then, using small flat brush, tap a little dark color on the outer lid, again smudging it toward the inner corner. Using a light shimmer and small brush, sweep some of the shimmer under the brow and in the inner corner of your eye. Lots of mascara, and you're done.

I found this on YouTube. Hope it helps!
First line your top and bottom lashes with eyeliner. II usually just take an angled brush to create that same look. And I have light blue eyes so lining them over powers my own. You'll need to play around with it to see what is best for you personally. Then, use a cream shadow that won't budge to create the smoky look. I've noticed that gray looks better then black because it isn't to over powering and dramatic. Apply it with your finger from your lashline to crease, and also along your bottom lashes for a smudgy effect. (I've found that just taking the line I made with the angled brush and smudging it with a q-tip works very well and it keeps you from looking all drawn in) Finish with mascara.

Good Luck! I hope that helped.
