What would make my eye lid look puffy?

I Haven't been able to sleep much since sunday. When i woke up this morning and started to put on my make up, I noticed that my left eye lid on top, looks a little puffy. What would make it do that?What would make my eye lid look puffy?
May be you were sleeping prone(your face down),so you made pressure on facial veins leading to leakage of fluid into your left eyelids,but this thing is resolved by itself.What would make my eye lid look puffy?
maybe your allergic to the brand of make-up your using


so maybe try a diff. brand of whatever your using on your eyes.
