How do i get the smoky eye look?

i've been trying to figure it out, and when i look it up i can't find anything that makes sense cuz it's all jumbled up, or it is to me atleast, or it has nothing to do with it. oh and can you do this without mascara?How do i get the smoky eye look?
';smoky eyes'; today just means any color eyeshadow that is blended across the entire lid ---which is why you have trouble when you search for tips.





If you mean the black/grey look, the trick is to start out with adding only a small amount of pigment to the lids and blending well. Add more pigment until you get the desired darkness. Specktra.net has good tutorials with lots of pics.How do i get the smoky eye look?
go to you tube and type in ';smokey eye'; in the search box. There's a zillion videos with diff colors. I use the ';smokin hot'; shade of LA Minerals eye shadow for the smokey eye look. On my eyelid and under bottom lashes. Then some black eyeliner along the lashes. I use the ';snow white'; along the brow line.
