Most people recommend you start with a light, neutral shade all over from browbone to eyelashes.. put the next darkest shade on from eyelashes to the crease, and then use a liner brush or smudge brush to put a dark color along your lashline on top (and carefully on bottom if you like). You can also use the darkest color in the crease for a different look. I have blue eyes and brown hair, and I use a soft ivory all over, a chocolate brown on the lid, and a deep sparkly purple in the crease..looks great. Top it off with liner and a neutral lip and voila!How to do smokey eye look ?
I love the smokey eye look! Many will get a bit to technical and instruct you to make lines and use about 5 different shades. You can easily achieve the look with one neutral or any dark shadow, since you control the intensity. However, the real success is a good shadow brush and BLENDING! It's all about the blending!
