How do you get that smoky eye look?

Use an eyeliner and trace a line on your top lid ( Use either brown or black eyeliner-your preference and either liquid or pencil) I prefer liquid. Then take an eyelash curler, hold for 10 seconds, and let go and apply 2 coats of mascara. If you are going for an even more dramatic look, put brown eyeshadow on your eyelids before doing the eyeliner and mascara. You can also put a thin line of eyeliner on your bottom lid. However, if you do all this, it is good if the makeup looks neat, otherwise it can look really bad.How do you get that smoky eye look?
Choose a good concealer. Always choose one shade lighter than your skin tone and completely cover any dark circles. Since the smoky eye is very dark, you want to be certain you have good coverage here.

Draw a line along the upper lashes with a black eye pencil. Start thin at the inner corner of the eye gradually getting thicker as you work your way out.

Draw a thin line as close to the lower lash line as possible. You can stop either one third of the way in or take it all of the way in to the inner corner. It all depends on how dramatic of a look you want. Play around with both and see what looks best on you.

Apply a neutral shade all over your lids right up to the brow. e.g. an almond colour.

Apply a darker shade such as dark brown or gray to the outer corner of your eyelid just up to the crease. Blend in well. Gradually build up to your desired colour.

Use a black kohl pencil to line the top of your lashes and smudge it in with a cotton bud.

To finish the look, apply lots of mascara, but stop before your lashes start to clump. Two coats of a volumizing mascara should be sufficient.

Invest in some good make-up brushes, they help you achieve a more professional look.

When applying the eyeliner/mascara, rest your elbow on a table and look down at the mirror. This helps your hand to stay steady.

Invest in a good kohl black pencil.

A great volumizing mascara that doesn't clump is Covergirl Lashblast. It might be a bit of a bulky tube, but it does everything that it says it will. It comes in waterproof black, and brown- so you can choose the dramatic-alness of your lashes.

If you make a mess, tidy it up with some cotton buds or an old (but sanitized) toothbrush.

Not everyone can pull this look off.

2 or 3 eyeshadow colours (preferably beige/black/brown)

You use white, gray and black eyeshadow. First you put the white eye shadow underneath your eyebrow (the end part of your eyebrow) then if you want to you can also put the white in between your eyes and nose(hard to find a word for that part). Then you put the gray all over your eyes, after you do that you add on the black where ever you want it to be darker where it makes your eyes look bigger. Then try to blend it in where you are comfortable with the style.well it was hard to explain hope u understood. Good luck.BTW shimmery colors always look better specially with smoky look.
If you're going for a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye, apply liner in one of those colors above the upper lash line, drawing line thicker in the middle of eye. If your opting for a jewel-toned eye (violet makes a gorgeous smoky eye), line eyes with a purple, blue or deep green liner.
heres how i do mine:

1. Use a light (skin toned) colour all over the eye- lashes to brow.

2. Use a black pencil eyeliner and line above the top lashes- doesn’t matter too much if it‘s a bit messy.

3. Use a cotton bud with a dark eyeshadow on it and go over the eyeliner- making it smudgy.

4. Line under the bottom lashes with a pencil eyeliner and smudge using a clean cotton bud/smudging pen.

5. Use a middle toned eyeshadow (an in-between colour of the ones using) and go over the lid of your eye and just up to the brow bone or just above the crease- which ever you like better.

6. Blend or smudge the middle colour upwards into the lighter colour- just the top edge of the middle colour so you still have colour on your lid.

7. Use mascara- and don’t forget eyelash curler first- apply mascara to the bottom aswell-if you want.
Always start with the medium shade from lash to crease using a flat shadow brush in the middle of the eye lid apply the light shade and sweep it along like a windshield wiper using a fluffy brush after the blending is done apply the dark shade into your socket line use a different fluffy brush and blend blend blend it until it blend all in perfect line the upper and lower lash line with the dark eyeshadow finish with curling your top lashes and apply 2 coats of mascara and keep the rest of your face natural
heres what i got taught:)

first apply pink eye shadow on your eye lid, up to the crease of your eye, dab it on and dont put TOO TOO much!

after, get a nice shimmery brown and start at the corner of your eye.

Move your brush in a circular motion and start blending it into your eyelid and mix it in with the pink

then add a thin line of black eyelinerr right near your lash line on the top :)

hope i helped
Buy two tones of grey, one dark and one light.

Step by Step.

1: use concealer as a base over your eye lids and underneath.

2. Use light grey as a undercover and a outline of what shape you want

3. Then gently and lightly use the darker grey over the top.

BTW, this style mainly suits people with blue eyes, if you have green or brown eyes, don't pile the darker shade on.. you'll end up emo rather than smoky.

Hope i helped. need any more advice on make-up or hair tips message me.
put black eyeliner on the top of your eyelid and the bottom ( but less noticable on the bottom) and then get black/dark blue eyeshadow and just gently go over the top of the eyelid and rub it in glently and then just a tiny bit on the bottom

and then just put volume mascara on the top and a bit on the bottom
